It is our goal to be as helpful to the others in our GUILD as possible and to one day make the name DARK SHROUD feared by those on the Velen server as all others. All members come from the Severed Hand Guild and at level 50 are accepted into the Dark Shroud, using a training and process known to us as The Way.

To achieve this we need to work together as the Horde allows and be sure to help lift others to our level. This works in several ways within The Way.

Helping players your level on teaming quests which levels you both very well and you can then complete quests you would not otherwise be able to finish.

High levels running the lower level players through instances for the money and Xp rewards for being pulled through them, this happens when a Higher level player comes on and asks if you want to go on an INSTANCE run. Take it, it is a good experience and don't get involved in the battle unless they say you should. Generally you want to just stand back and stay out of the way for this and just clean up the mess of gold and items and rake in the Experience (XP).

Under Level 50? See our Sister Guild, made up of the low levels that want to become part of the Dark Shroud and the Hands of Fate, Click here - The Severed hand Guild (wow) (You would message Jervin to be added to the guild and become part of the Shroud and Hands of Fates future Guild Defenders) again they follow a path of balance using The Way.

Another way to help:

When you hit level 30 plus and you know (by checking the Guild charter) that there are other low level players in the GUILD, you go ahead and create another toon low level that can help them in turn on runs and the like. Then your Level 30 becomes the Uber that can possibly help them out of a crunch, or lead on instance runs like those before you.

Start playing and Join the Severed Hand with your Alt, or recruit new players into the Guild. Stay and become a high ranking officer and help manage the Severed hand, or....

At level 50+ apply to join the Hands of Fate (HoF) or the Dark Shroud (DS), and become ranked as an Officer in a fun and team oriented Raid and End game Guild.

Enjoy protecting Horde cities from Alliance raids, invade their cities and watch them burn. Run instances and quests with high levels and hunt for rare spawns and kill em. The 80 life is about to become a whole lot better.

Being an Officer:

An officer are any of those of the Dark Shroud, we are all to set examples of behavior that is fair to all ages of players. We have friends we have gamed with that are young and old, and we want them to be comfortable as well because they are good players and are fun to hang out with. Good team players, that know their craft. It is your responsibility to HELP monitor their progress.

Check their levels and rank them as merit due to increases. Demote those that have broken the rules and will not listen to reason. Take a screen shot and email it to me at Nabolshia@yahoo.com

When you recruit someone note their public note on the guild charter about who you are and who they are. Later when the FOUNDER checks the charter, he will move the note to the officer note, and delete the public note and place "unannounced" in its place. You then would enter your recruits profession as they get them. This allows others in the guild to know who might need or be able to get certain items.

You must monitor the Guild chat to ensure that it is kept clean. Try to avoid vulgar talk and conversations in the guild chat and officer channels. Be aware of the age of people you are gaming with. Don't private message with vulgar stuff in whisper to someone if you don't know their age and who might be watching them.

As for parents, if you have a child that is in the guild and can not be around the occasional teen content, as (teens will be teens) and we can try to instill morals but cant catch them all- You may want to enroll them in the lower level sister guild Severed hand. You can add Jervin, who is the Guild Leader, we also know him as BloodValor of High Councilor of the Dark Shroud. If you have an Alternate character under level 50, you need to report to the Severed Hand, again add Jervin, he is Guild Leader. Officers that are in Demerit will be marked with a number code in their officer note, dictating the level of penalty for a demotion.

(DEMOTION)

Demotion Penaltys for infractions will be 3 Demerits in a 4 month period.

Any one violation of laws written can result in 1 Demerit.

DEFENDERS OF THE HORDE (DOH):
It will be important to us in the future to know the whereabouts of the Alliance enemy and we have formed a group for this on the alliance side called the DARK RAVEN. They are rogue dwarfs to the alliance and when the day comes where we begin raids on Velen they will be used to spy on the locations of the alliance defense. They will communicate to us through the Vent server (see guild info in game for details) giving us detailed information on the alliance before invasions. They will also be assisting in flags in the PVP instances, read here for more.

How to properly make a Run, or Raid

Whats my Role?

It is the TANK that holds the front end of the Party together, and in raids, you have a multiple number of these SQUADS of 5 people.

A Tank
3 DPS (Damage)
A Healer

(For a RAID you duplicate this 8 times)

The leader assigns SQUADS to do a certain task usually, or will sometimes ask the Dps to do one thing in each group and the other special attack characters to do something else.

But Mainly a Tank holds the aggro, and keeps all the enemies on Him/her. The DPS then attack the Tank targets as they change and try to stay UNDER the amount of damage the MAIN thank is doing, this way the enemy stays on the Tank and doesn't pull toward you. A good tool for this is called "Omen II", it sets off an alert when you pull aggro off of the Tank. Good tool.

The Healer is looking out for the TANK, if the tank dies then you all die, as he/she is holding ALL the main aggression.

TANKS should be good leaders and know when to assign CC targets when dealing with enemies. This is using the powers of your group to its full advantage and makes you more used to pulling these tricks. This will pay off big time once in PvP combat... Tanks assign targets.

C - (Moon) CC or SAP

The Main Tank generally points the way into the melee, and sometimes a Second Tank or a Primary DPS will keep their eyes out for a monster heading away from aggro and they will hit it and run it back to the Tank, switching back to the main tank target, as the Tank uses an AOE to retain aggro again.

If you get hit and its taking massive damage, head back for the tank and yell or inform the others someones on me, a good idea is to form this with the Tank at the beginning, you can usually however run toward them and a good Tank will see you have someone on you.

Buffs should be used before each pull, and always give healers and dps casters the time to Regen their Manna, sometimes you have to remind them (believe it or not).

You should never NEED an item unless its an upgrade, yes even if its higher level than you, you still should need roll it. Unless there is someone that could use it and CAN wear it right now, but this is your choice and would be a nice thing to do.

Chances are, if your running the Dungeon over and over again, you'll get that same item 4 more times before your done. Don';t fight over items, its JUST a game... be fair to others.

All chests, treasure and loots, gems and the like should be rolled greed. There are cases where if there is a rogue present they will let the rogue have the item and then he will hand out armor that drops from it. This also is up to the group.

Plain and Simple, don't OVER damage the TANK. Use Vent (voice) server when in GUILD groups after level 70 whenever possible and don't NEED on items that are not an upgrade for you. And level does not designate an upgrade unless you want to surrender the roll.

If you have Heals or Rez as a secondary ability, USE it when needed. Help the healer a bit. Help rez the Dead, they would for you, if they were a good player. Bubble your anti magic when the groups under magic assault. Think with your toon, use your powers to their up most ability.

And never give up. Quitters are a dime a dozen. Never quit. But you can compromise, "Hey this 80 Heroic Trials of Champions is rough, lets try Regular...."

Go on rotations. When groups are being formed, let them know that your on CALL. When a spot opens your in, and then as others leave, others join. The groups continue forward in a rotation doing run after run and switching players as they log off for the night and more come on. Fill the Rotation, and....

Now you are a group runner.

We are a secret order of of all races that have allied behind the back of our people and to ensure that the riches of what lies beyond the Dark portal is ours.

We fight the alliance scum that may be in the conspiracy to close the Dark portal forever. As our own people that try to fight the Dark Powers that hold this glorious gate open.

They are our enemy. Those that do not stand beside us in combat to defend our Horde Cities from attacks, or those that come to our Battle Field's unprepared can only be assumed to be in legion with the enemy. They all must die and be labeled and persecuted.

A secret few, the Dark raven, and Dark Shroud and the Severed hand have leaders in a group of Shrouded Masters, that work daily to keep the Portal open, and its riches ours. Soon all the Lands, through subversion and our Dark Arts will bend to the will of the Dark Shroud and its allegiances.

See the cloaked and robed figures working their Dark chants and powers over the strange and unknown, that is us, the Dark Shroud. Our Voodoo and charms hold the guardians of the Dark portal from rings of control. We are immortalized on the gates of the very Portal we help stay open.

It is this group that sees all as it unfolds. They are known as One.

One keeps the society going and new members joining the Epic battle to keep the Portal open and under our control. One teaches us the way, and forms groups against our enemies. One talks to the Dark Powers through meetings and making plans that will unfold our destinies.

Leaving the Guild

Leaving the Guild:

Even though our guild has helped assist you in getting further with your character, we can understand if you want to move on or even join another friends guild and such.

Just be polite and send me a mail in game or catch me on vent and let and officer know, and we will be cool. We can still help one another when available on runs and the like, and we could also add you to our loyalists.

Don't have a hissy fit, complain and gripe and then drop the guild in a huff. This is cutting off your nose to despite your face and I can only assume your selfish and not a valued member to begin with, and I will be forced to Black list you. This will EXCLUDE you from everything we do, and if your that insatiable, then you won't be missing out anyways, you can go join Bigbadbrenny and his "Last chance" Guild.

Guild Help

Help from higher Levels:

Let it be known, every member of the Dark Shroud and the Severed hand are expected to be of the up most quality as far as Teamwork and Independence goes.

It is expected that at very low levels that the Higher level Officers can and WILL assist you when they are available to do so.

It is YOUR responsibility right from level 1 to follow and understand the listed responsibilities of being in our GUILDS. To not be able to accept and understand these terms, you are inviting DISAPPOINTMENT for yourself and frustration on behalf of the Officers that can help you become a stronger player and a better asset to the GUILD.

Forming Party's (For Raids, Quests or Instances):
It is expected upon joining our GUILDS, that you are able to talk with others your level, in and out of our Guild to set up Quest runs and instances on a SAME level basis. You will get the most experience in both stats and combat training from doing this. As you will not be standing back and just looting and not being part of making the RUN a success.

You will better know your role in running with a team in and out of instances and quests, making a more valuable asset to the Guild and your friends. Allowing you to better understand your powers and character class to better aid those in the group. As in all things in life, we learn from failure, and it is this failure that allows us to overcome obstacles and become a champion among the flock.

Respect of Others:
Hopefully you make friends in the GUILD and keep that friendship through understanding and a willingness to allow others to also achieve what they must in order for their advancement as well. Even though Officers and higher level players are EXPECTED to assist the lower levels to help them get to the "End Game", this should not be EXPECTED at the drop of a hat. Don't take it personally that someone is "Occupied" or doesn't have the time to run you around a dungeon.

You may THINK, "wow, this guy never helps me". Try to place yourself in their shoes, it is very likely they have been helping another low level for several hours and have finally gotten to do something for themselves that they wanted to do. You don't know what another player has already done in a given day for someone else.

Don't expect that others are RESPONSIBLE to run you through instances and quests all the time. High levels have their own HELL that they have to go through to advance. Being 80 for example is not the end game. Most of their gear is trash and they can't even run Heroic runs to get good gear until they have done a TON of PVP and other BS to even get the gear enough to enter Heroics and die over and over again paying high repair costs of up to 150 gold to repair and still likely not win the instance. The battle has just begun, and with determination you will one day know this, when your 80 and can't seem to find enough time or people your level to help you advance.

Expectations:

You are expected to take runs when they are offered. It is your JOB to speak up when someone is announcing a run your level and asking for more people. It is your JOB to look and form groups of your own if others in the GUILD are busy playing their character to better themselves.

You are expected to FORM your own RAIDS and Instance runs, team for quests and the like. It is YOUR job to invite people to the GUILD that are on your time of day, so you have more people your level to run with. This is YOUR responsibility.

This guild was formed by me inviting people along the way that were good players and inviting them to the guild so that I had people in game when I was LOGGED on. Or when I Picked up players by SPAMMING for hours to MAKE groups so I could run dungeons.

When I found good players that were self sufficient and helpful and nice I invited them to the Guild. Those that didn't join us are STILL Loyalists to our Guild and still run with us on many levels. But I NEVER expect them to DROP everything they are doing to come help me.

Your Job:

It is your Job to do all these things and to one day become an officer. Yes the DOH are expected to assist towns of the Horde that are under attack, yes our players are expected to help others. But this is not the crutch of people that should be doing the same thing for others and I do not expect you to drop what you are doing to come help me. That is not fair.

If you need someone to RUN you through everything and you can't GET the HELP you NEED, then maybe you should rethink why your playing- getting help on OCCASION to get a few fast levels, a recipe or some loot is perfect. But expecting and blaming others you are behind when you DON'T log into the game or you DON'T Pull your own party and raid groups or quest teams to level yourself and learn your character class better - maybe you should go back to Runescape, 8-9 year olds play that game and they never help one another, maybe then you'd appreciate the time that higher levels take out of THEIR advancement, to come and help you.

Unknown Facts:

The game is NOT over at 80, you need PVP gear to fight heroics, you need Heroic Gear to Run Naxx and other 5-10 man dungeons to get better gear, recipes and money.

At 80 one failed dungeon run with poor armor can cost a player 50-150 gold on repairs, and even at your low levels 150 gold is alot and hard to make which is WHY 80's may claim to be farming.

Finding the right geared people to RUN 80 run's so that you ACTUALLY finish one of these dungeons, is hard to find, even our best geared players die multiple times in Heroic.

80's get nothing from running lower levels through low level dungeons. They do it to be nice and HELP you get to where they are - remember good 80's are hard to find.

Bitching and complaining to 80's about your inability or their unwillingness to drop everything to come help you only drives them away. Which hurts you in the Short run as they won't be there to help anymore, and in the long run as when your 80, you'll be looking around asking where are all the good 80's at? You drove them off.

Before you bitch, think of what they may have already done for someone else wanting help before you logged in, they may have spent 2-4 hours of their skilling time helping someone else already. They are likely only working on themselves after a long period of donating time to another person in the guild, that may not even be logged in any longer. Don't take it personally if they don't drop everything to help you, there's likely a reason.

There is not a person in the GUILD of any level that has not attempted to assist and help the ones that need it. All same levels help one another as do the high levels help the low levels. For anyone to single someone out makes me wonder, what are you doing for others? What do you do for yourself? Officers are there to help, not carry you across the battlefield.

I leveled an impossible cloth wearing mage on my own or by joining or making groups, I expect nothing less from every member of this guild all the way down to our level 1's.

Anyone that leaves the Guild on these conditions, without discussion of these terms ESPECIALLY over someone elses ASSUMED behavior, (or you can't seem to live by these IMPOSSIBLE expectations), will NOT be invited back into the GUILD. No exceptions.

Daily Heroics

How this works is it runs from 6p game time into 12a in what is called a RAID ROTATION.

What is Raid Rotation?
Those that are on and ready form groups with GUILD heals and Tanks to retain group control and then PUG any missing slots. This way the Guild retains control of the Raid or run.

Then as people need to leave, we roll in the others that are just coming on, or have those that are not leaving join into the new groups that are being formed.

This is random and by the day, so that all members of the guild know that the Hours of 6-12 is prime time to be welcomed into an 80 run of some type. The purpose for this as it always has been, Gear, loot and running for the end game. See DOH .

Example: 5 players gather up at 6 for a run into VH heroic, they run it several times and then run a HoL. At 9 two people have to leave. Others in the guild have logged in previously and are ready to join the group. They join raid continues, or the broken group joins the raid in progress from those that logged in an hour previous. This way those that have to leave can, and those that want to stay can roll into another raid or keep theirs going.

Rules are always the same on loot. Do not NEED unless your toon can wear it as an upgrade, if more than one person needs then let the game roll for the winner.

All Guildies running in Dark Shroud Raids and runs should know the process and the job of their toon, you should also know and use the Guild Vent when in group on a run.

Because we retain the TANK and HEALS in our runs as much as possible it is ok to PUG others that DPS into the group, if they are bad team players they can be kicked. If they are good team players then they SHOULD be invited to join the GUILD (ranked as Warlord) and continue in further open runs that may be in progress, or if the group melds into another raid.

Masters

The Masters

Here we find the core of the Dark Shroud, they have traveled from the Sister guild Severed Hand into the Mother Guild to lead us toward victory!

They have crawled our low level quests and dungeons by our sides all this time. Leveling with us and beyond as they drove to attain greatness.

Humble, they worked through the ranks, as Warlords and Minion to the Shroud. As High Councilors they have run us through tough areas and lead us into developing better characters in the game and within ourselves...

The Masters are those that have spent time and dedication to service of the Dark Shroud, and its people. Helping others and themselves to leveling experiences and adventures across Azeroth.

The Masters know their crafts and skills well, as well as the journey within the World of Warcraft, relating to leveling and getting the best gear or spec for your player. They are now our official answer points when we are stuck or need an answer! They will try to find it for you if they do not already have the knowledge. Look soon for Masters Forum (to be added).

Masters are a new Rank above the High Councilors. Where High Councilors spend their spare time checking the Recruits list for outdated accounts and helping set up runs and instances, the Masters are more in the way of explaining things that you may need to do to succeed in the Game world. Where to find this or that, or what gear and items you should be driving for.

Masters have a Public note that tells you what they specialize in, this is their GM code, you can see who is on and then check their Master code to find out what they are knowledgeable in. The GM code will tell you what this particular Master knows a lot about, and it may not be a skill he has on his Master character - they can be listed for professions and skills they have on another character, and have a lot of experience with.

Feel free to inquire about those particular skills and professions from them, if they are not busy in combat, they will be glad to assist you. Look also for Junior Masters, these are not level 80 players but they have knowledge or assistance to share with you if needed and can be a valuable resource to the Guilds future, they are in line to become the Masters of tomorrow.

They will be listed on each page as Apprentices, don't let this stop you from talking to them, they are dedicated and this is the reason they are available to us. Find explanations on the GM code, and times that Masters can be found online on the links below:

GM code (Guild Masters)

GUILD MASTERS:

Guild Masters will be marked on the Guild charter as GM and a Letter combination. The letters represent the different class, Race, Skill and Profession proficiencies that individual has Mastered, Example a mark on my charter Public note would be UMGMFHA, An Undead Mage GM in Fishing, Herbalism, and Alchemy. The Letter codes will be listed and described below, and a list of names will follow with their rankings, in skills and Professions. All these may or may not be listed and a MASTER can have professions skills or the like listed as a Mastery that they may or may not have on their Master character. The reason for this is that they may have a secondary character that has mastered this skill or the like and they want you to know they have a good chunk of knowledge about that topic. So don't let their toons stats and report on www.wow-armory.com, they may be a Master in something that's not on their Main player.

RACE: if the Master has special knowledges about a certain race.

:The Way:

The Way, is the path you follow to become a member of the Dark Shroud or the other loyalist Guilds in our employment. You follow a strict regimen, that follows in the coming "Book of Arcanum" that will be found here ( Book of Arcanum - to be added -).

In this "Book" will be the breakdown of ranks and training in the Severed Hand and the expectations of those one day wanting to become officers or new recruits to the Dark Shroud. This in itself is the Way. More on the Dark Shroud and the Severed Hand on the following links (Dark Shroud), (Severed Hand). Read on, all Officers are to know the Way.

Our higher level guilds work together with leaders of the Severed Hand on a regular basis, many of the High ranking in the Dark Shroud are high ranking officers in other guilds that sponsor
As a low level you join the Severed Hand Guild, from there you learn the art of Questing and how to spec your character for the future. You are in the Severed Hand, but you are being trained by the Dark Shroud, Carnival of Carnage, and the Hands of Fate.

The training you gain in learning how to better your game experience, items and ability to know your powers and use them while working in a Team of people known as a RAID or PARTY. You will be taught Questing, professions, the Merchanting to better yourself, PVP, How to bonus your GEAR. You will eventually learn how to Defend Horde areas with an Iron Fist.

Once you reach level 50 you have the choice to Join one of the MOTHER guilds to the Severed Hand, See a list and links here (Click for List) , or to become a Leading Officer in the Severed Hand; where you will help newcomers and teach them "The Way".

You will grow into a well rounded team player that knows how to pass their knowledge onto others. An officer of the Dark Shroud, founders of the Severed Hand Guild. Once in Officer status in the Severed Hand or your graduation into one of the main guilds at level 50, you then will begin to partake more in the higher level fun.

Running RAIDS on Dungeons and into alliance PVP territory, running BG's and getting better gear and LOOT to finance your future. In the 70's running HEROIC dungeons, and helping to Defend Winter Grasp from the Alliance in cold war zone combat.

At 80 you become High councilor of the Dark Shroud. One of many 80's on the High Council. Position hard earned at the top of two guilds and allied to many more in the global arena. The Dark Shroud gains its power through loyalties provided by other guilds. The Dark Shroud is the leadership guild of Defenders of the Horde (DOH). A group of members from many guilds that fight together against a common enemy - The Alliance.

Learning to be a TEAM PLAYER and help out your fellow Guildies. As you gain Level you are then ranked into titles, allowing you to then become the teacher of our ways. Our goal is to get GEAR, get Experience (XP), collect PVP rewards, run Quests, LOOT instances and Power Level, and DEFEND Horde Cities from attacks and Form Raid parties larger than the likes anyone has seen before...

It is the end goal of the DOH to camp entire cities of the Alliance for days. Teleporting backup troops into the zone by the hour and days. Killing any that attempt to defend, killing their bankers and quest givers, letting nothing live.

Imagine four Level 80 Raid Groups working together to hold and slaughter Alliance cities for days at a time, as Warlocks summon new people in on the Hour keeping our troops refreshed.

Four RAID groups of level 75-80. One group on the King or leader, one group in the main village, one group near the main entrance and another to patrol through the zones as needed. Total Alliance city control. Bring your video camera.

But this end will be a new beginning for MMO gamers everywhere.

Taming Uvuros

It started with Trunkmonkey wanting the level 70 elite Uvuros as his pet, and turned into a two hour melee against the beast and two alliance 80's that decided to crash the party.

we found that the method to tame him was not an easy one. The alliance kept interrupting us and slaying him out of spite, they knew what we were doing and they didn't want another Horde with such power. We hunted them, and failed. Maggycow came to assist with heals from the Carnival of Carnage, as did Bloodvalor of the Dark Shroud.

Raveness came with her armies of the dead from out of the sky and wiped the alliance in their tracks. They left us alone and Scarydate was able to tame the beast. A good time and well worth the efforts I would say. Good job guys and I hope you enjoy the video, the soundtrack is Danzig - How the Gods kill, and I thought it was a good choice for all the death we encountered in two hours over a level 70 elite demon.

Defenders of the Horde (DOH)

DEFENDERS OF THE HORDE:

Easier referred to as DOH. This is a comprised list of ENTIRE GUILDS that have sworn allegiance to the Dark Shroud and will stand side by side with us in Raids on the Human Cities. These alliances have been formed by me directly and the Leader of the other guild, and they will be listed below.

The plans also include total GUILD control in battlegrounds (BG) runs as well more is being done on this and I will add information as its available. I can say the battle plans are great and leave little room for failure once we achieve our goal of 80 level 75 - 80's.

SMASH N CAMP:
The concept of SMASH N CAMP is to create two 40 man battle groups. One group to wipe and hold the city, and the second to take the Leaders out. Then camp the entire city, shouting our names through the air. Let it be known the DOH is to be feared. Then switch roles and have the defending 40 man attack the leaders and the other 40 man holds the town hostage. Isn't the future bright?

On the note:

Our guilds will work hand in hands to wipe the alliance raid ratio into the dirt and take what we want when we want from the alliance territories. For the Defenders of the HORDE!

All Dark Shroud Warlord ranks or better are expected to be part of this program. Meaning that whenever a Raid or the like is needing manpower, the Warlords of the Shroud should be the first to step forward, bringing any Commanders with them that meet the raid requirements.

A RUN INTO THE DEPTHS OF FIRE -

Good times when a group of us got together to run through BRD, Mcthread came along from SYNLIS Guild to lead the way. Prior to this Des dropped two alliance warriors in Stonard that were trying to wipe out our outpost!

My son walked me off the cliff into the fires and yet OVERALL in the end, it was a very good time. Again our new GUILD friend Soviet came in to assist with his back up Tanking and Heals, and another friend of his joined in with their Priest.

In the end we took the achievement and had a blast in the process! Good job guys! We struck a few frames for the diary. And it wasn't long, like any dungeon run - it was over and we were tired of the journey.

As we walked out of the dungeons, I looked down, some of the secondary quests were not complete, heading out the gates Mcthread pulled aggro and the numbers started to climb. Killed 6/10 killed 8/10 when Sally and I fell out. Mcthread cleared and wept over our bodies. I went to the grave and realize it was over -

I have 331 Xp left to level into 59 ... Crap.

Warlords

They are the Warlords! Defenders of the Horde Cities and lands, when trouble calls you can count on the Warlords to come and smash the Alliance where they stand.

Warlords are defenders of the Horde. They are dedicated to stopping Alliance raids on our towns and city's. When there is an Alliance group killing our Quests givers and Flight points, call into the Guild chat for a Warlord. If they are not busy and have time to get there- they will come....

A Warlord must be level 80 in all classes and Vow to defend the Horde. Death knights that are level 58 can join the Warlord clans. Warlords are not to be taken lightly, they are dedicated servants to the Horde through the Dark Shroud.

This Rank in the Guild was created to help band our Guild with countless other DEFENDER guilds in our realm (Velen) , there are many other Horde Guilds that thrive on defending the Horde cities from attack and protecting the way points for the lower levels in the area.

Through this Rank we will grow tighter bonds with high level DEFENDER guilds in our Realm and form alliances with other powerful GUILDS in Velen! If you have not been properly ranked into this title let me know, you simply have to fit the criteria - All Classes Level 80 and a VOW to defend Horde city's when you can. HONOR (DKP SYSTEM)

HONOR AWARDED - The Concept:

For those party Leaders running those lower levels through instances and when we team and run raids or quest runs and the leader in the pack is holding most of the weight and getting no XP~ Well this is our gift to you, the HONOR SYSTEM.
You will be awarded DKP (Dragon kills Points) - these can be added on your rolls for those rare items that you really want in those pinches when you don't want to risk a straight /roll for an special item you think you might not see again.

How to use your points:

To participate in the HONOR system involving DKP and have points to spend when ROLLING for items, you will have to first download the ADDon here - DKP Honor System. You will then have access to this feature on your account when in party. It will be under control of the party leader who should read more about the tool on the link at the bottom of the page.

The file needs to be downloaded and then extracted as per the add on instructions (see installing WoW addons), it would go to C:/programs/world of warcraft/interface/addons.

You will gain DKP Points as you take people lower level through runs and on quests, and they will add up on a point based system. You can check your total added points to your account by using the tool at the bottom of our GUILD webpage, or by going to the link http://www.webdkp.com/ and search our GUILD.

This tool is to be used by everyone interested in the DKP program and it will be controled by the Party leader which have to be OFFICERS of the Dark Shroud or Level 30 Leaders with approval. (Those any level 30 or above that has shown to be a valued member of our GUILD, and social network). As an Officer you will have to register on this website as well in order to control the AddOn and have points apply to the website and the tracker at the bottom of our GUILD page.

CHECKLIST OFFICERS and 30+ only:
1) Download Addon
2) Give me your toon name, a password and an eamil address
3) I will then add you to OUR DKP system as a leader/ officer
4) Learn how to give awards to players and run rolls
5) Lead runs on Quests and Instances (where XP is not generally rewarded)
6) Track points, we will have to upload them to the site daily
7) Spend points on Rolls to get special items
8) Build your HONOR with the Dark Shroud! Be rewarded for service!

(awarded points are not available until you log out and then go to the official website and click on upload log and you have to select the right folder under c:/programs/wow/WTF/account/(user name)/saved variables/webdkp.iua - and then upload, it will upload your parties accumulated points into our system. You can not do this properly unless you have been added to DKP by me as an officer).

The Official Scoop:

WebDKP is an addon that allows guild leaders to easily manage the DKP for their guild. It works with a companion website http://www.webdkp.com/ where guild leaders can upload and display their guilds DKP for free. The system was made to be easy to work with. In game guild leaders have access to their DKP and can easily record awards and view changes. Then, with a press of a button all this information from the addon is put online for all your guild members to see. You can then update or tweak the information via the website and view your changes back in game.

First of all I do not want to start any drama. After several days in Candy Cane Forest Patrol guild I like the members very much. I think there were alot of members who wanted to do instances alot and some wanted to PVP which was a good combination.

But of course there are always idiots in the guild. This one time we were running Maraudon and of course the gun from goblin drops. Hunter loot right?

Well this warrior in the guild (i will not name him) bids 3400 DKP on it right away. The 2 hunters we had in group immediately go "WTF man?" The warrior replies: "Dude it has arcane resistance it's good for blackrock spire".

Of course at this point noone even knows what blackrockspire is ( i was there once, and it was pretty hard). But anyways DKP is DKP so the warrior gets the gun. The hunters are pretty angry at this point, one of them is constantly whining on vent that he didn't get the gun ( i can understand because he was dwarf and dwarfs get extra bonus when using guns).

So we go to princess and the fight is really close at about 15% the MT dies and everyone and i mean EVERYONE is effing yelling at me on vent to battle -effing- res the MT but try to understand BATTLE RES HAS AN EFFING COOLDOWN So i just stand there and try to effing salvage the fight and start spamming moonfire in the moonkin form and GUESS EFFING WHAT, whole group dies and I finish off princess from 2% to 0%.

Group is asking for reses, well guess what, my battle res is on cooldown and the loot is on group loot so i tell everyone to run back, so they run back but all the mobs in the dungeon are respawned and my group is stuck without a healer, they tell me: " ok you have to lose 2000 dkp because noone else except you can loot".

Well what the ef am I supposed to do? I tell them "guys i don't want any of princess loot i am not spending the DKP on it" So they all appeal to our guild leader who is currently farming for his krol blade (he is a really good player with 5/8 valour set, i dueled him once and his seal of crusader procced me for over 600 damage).

So our guild leader tried to resolve the problem by suggesting to compromie with taking out 1000 dkp from my current. I agree of course simply because I do not feel like causing any drama in the guild.

So next day we have a scheduled Temple raid and mind you, our only priest is of course in arathi basin pvping. He just got mind flay and all he does is run around spamming it in AB. I've been there and it is -not- fun.

So we are stuck without priest, without Fort and *gasp* the guild leader says I willl be healing main tank. Now being moonkin specced druid I have nothing against healing but I agree, priests especially holy/disc ones will heal better than me.

I think at this point everyone realized this and Guild Leader WHISPERS to me to go respec. My respecs cost 25 gold right now but gold is not really problem. The problem is that the people can't seem to grasp the idea of letting others play the game they want.

Of course i refuse to respec and i get THREATENED to be kicked out of the guild unless I respec. Thankfully, our only priest finished his AB and agrees to come help us in Temple. Is it just me or priests are best class to play in the game?

We even award them double DKP and all of their class items go for so little that they always seem to be able to bid on druid/warlock/mage gear. But anyways, we start off the temple run pretty well and take out all of 6 mini-troll bosses without a single wipe.

I heal group 2 exclusively and not a single person dies. By the time we get down to lower circle of Temple someone runs the Heal Meters and OMG my healing is about 24000 higher than our main priest's. He suddenly starts yelling at me on vent how i overheal with rejuvenate and how he always "picks up my slack".

I say whatever man I will just use bear form, but I think people realized then that without me they will not be able to survive so they all whisper to me to just ignore this priest.

I say fine and we go on and the raid runs flawless, we get to the last sleeping dragon and 1 shot him (I will admit that was really nice job, and I think only 1 person died due to a slow heal from that priest). Well here comes the fun part, the Dragon's Call epic sword drops, it's a really nice one 1-handed sword.

So our guild leader says on vent to start bidding on it, and of course our MT just spend almost all of his DKP on gun from maraudon and therefore can't bid much. So since noone else wants it, hunter bids about 500 and no one can realy outbid him.

So people are like "ehh damn ". So our guild leader says "guys lets give it to MT it will be more useful when we start raiding BRD" I support him because I really don't want to be stuck doing temple for the rest of my game life and BRD has some really nice loot for druids.

So as a result the vent splits into 2 opinions , about 5 people say we should give it to MT and the rest say the hunter should get it because he has more DKP. I do not know really how the argument would end but hunter just picked up the sword and everyone was kinda sad but like i said DKP is DKP.
It was a nice day of raiding but it basically set the nature of disagreement within our guild and when our MT quit the guild next day to join some other raiding guild next day we all kinda felt down for trying to gear him up all these weeks.

Of course the following day we were spamming IF to recruit a warrior to MT for us but almost noone even bothered applying except for a few obvious noobs. another day gone and there are only 2-3 people left in the guild, including a bunch of inactive people who were never even playing the game anymore.
So this is the end of Candy Cane Forest Patrol guild, i told only truth here so that's how it was.

That being said, I am still an active player and would like to apply to join any good guild, I am currently specced as a moonkin druid. If you raid stuff like BRD or even higher level instances please take me in and i will be a good asset to your guild.

Ventrillo (VENT) settings

Ventrillo makes you more connected with the other players in the game that you want to break that 10 man raid with! To be closer to the flawless victories awards use VENT!

You can pass information quickly by simply setting up this simple tool. The items you will need:

Speakers / or a Headset
A Microphone
And Ventrillo voice server system!

A simple install by clicking run instead of save it installs in seconds!

THE MAIN WINDOW:

Then simply create a special user name for yourself (this is what people will see you as), or you can even make other account for other users in your home by following the same method.

When you want to log in you select your name from the drop down and sign in- the same is done with your server, you can also create multiple ones. you can set specific servers under each user too, this is an awesome tool to organize your vent services and friends talk channels.

Simply click the server button and put in the information for the vent channel here and give the channel a name. This way you can actually set up multiple channels if needed in the future.

Then click connect and go to the "Dark Shroud" channel and your in. This is one of our GUILD members vents~ Please be sure to be polite to others in here as you can see he has quite a few different games in here and sometimes there are other people in it.

If you are having audio issues or cant use your mic, be sure to check this area in the setup screen and be sure that they are both checked (A) and that your default device is also set right (B).

Your Hot key for the mic needs to be set and then save and exit. After changing these you usually have to log out of vent and then back in.

If the AUDIO is not quite right, you can right click someones name and go to the audio settings or you can open settings and you will get the screen here to the left.

At the bottom you will see amplifier, input and output, you want to adjust these to ensure your loud enough and the people your listening to are loud enough. This is the basics of the VENT engine, and it makes our lives much easier in raids and instances as we can yell out "look behind you- Bob!" instead of typing in "look out behin~" and Bob is dead. Use the tool when in Party doing instance or raids if you can. Ask your leader to set one up, it will improve communication and game play.

Another thing, the ones in vent are probably going to hear and say things that are not going to be said in text chat in game. so be warned before you enter for one, and for two you might hear some good inside chatter you would have missed otherwise.

ANOTHER NOTE:
If you have Voice chat enabled in game settings, people that are not in our vent CAN hear you on in game chat channel, if they are partied with you!

Again:
IF YOU ARE TEAMED WITH THEM.

You can check or change these by going to SETTINGS - then to - Voice/Sound - then to - Voice and change the in game chat to on or off, and you can also decide to listen without a mic.

Again you have to be teamed for this to be heard by outsiders. At the very least they are HEARING what the rest of us are doing over the in game voice service built into WoW.

If you don't have a MIC you can turn this on while in a team to LISTEN in and simply type your responses into party chat and it is better for making better game time and information sharing.

The main thing here is that if you are having strange conversations or we are having Guild meetings be sure the open public WoW channel is turned off so outsiders are not spying on our conversations. Let me know if I missed anything or if you need more information....

Installing WoW AddOns

Installing WoW addons~

Below is a list of the longer older way of installing WOW AddOns using the Curse.com method and manual installing. You can make your life easier by using WowMarix which was recently posted (Click Here) or using the simular Curse Client, that is kinda the same as WOWMATRIX.

AddOns can make or break your WOW experience! You will need a few things, WINRAR or WINZIP is a start. The Video instructions are below, ask me if they miss anything. The AddOns you want the most and the reasons are listed below-

Omen III - for mages to detect aggro

Cartographer - For Dungeon maps, and searches on WoW insiders

Quest Helper - For tracking your quests destinations

Auctionator - For finding better sales and bargains in the Auction house (AH)

Win RAR Installation:

INSTALLATION IN BASIC: (Have WinRAR or WinZip installed) Make a "My WOW downloads" folder on the desktop, then go to www.curse.com and pick your choice. Click save, and save it to the "My WOW downloads" file on the desktop. Once completed, click OPEN, and the WinZip or WinRAR should open Automatically~ Don't click the folder, simply click EXTRACT TO- and find your Wow folder, which on most machines is c:/programs/WoW/Interface/AddOns and your done. In some cases you may need to create an AddOn folder if you haven't provoked it to be made in game by using the BARBER or other extras. Generally you have done something WoW has added, and the folder should be easily found in the Interface folder.

HOW TO USE THEM:

Well I had to figure these out on my own for the most part. I'll try my best as I use them kind of through instinct at this point. First off if you have multiple toons, this will apply to your entire account and they will be set on every toon you have.

When you get to the character selection screen you can click the ADDONS button in the bottom left of the screen to turn them on or off. You want to make sure that they are all up to date, if they are not find the AddOn in C:/programs/WoW/Interface/AddOns (or D:/ if thats where your file is saved) and find the folder(s) in question and delete them, then reinstall the latest version into your file from http://www.curse.com/ .

Instructions on installations are listed above, if you did not use WINRAR or WINZIP, then you did not install them correctly and they will not work. All of Curses downloads are in a .RAR format, and need to be "UNPACKED" into the addons folder to work. Otherwise you'll simply have a .RAR file in there the game will not read.

OMEN - OMEN III

This will show your name and the names of those you are teamed with when in battle, the bars indicate how much aggro is being pulled and who's pulling it. This is a MUST for spell casters when in groups and in higher INSTANCES and 10 man RAIDS, most teams won't even allow a spell caster into their group that does not have it. The idea is that you don't want your AGGRO to go above the tanks and wing men, when your bar is climbing toward theirs "PULL" your DPS to avoid drawing them down onto you and making you DIE.

You can move it by clicking and holding the left mouse button and move it around on your screen to where it is comfortable. Mine is just above my text chat box on the left. You can then right click it and "LOCK" it into place so you don't accidentally grab it in combat - and also on a right click you can change settings and so forth (i.e. on only in party, or in combat etc).

CARTOGRAPHER-

Use this for Dungeon maps, and details on the in game world, check details on transportation spot to and from different continents. On your Mini map you can also see major cities and special locations with DOT markers for these places. These locations also show on your main map, and the tool is a great overall source of in game information. I am still figuring it out completely, but you can easily access the settings for this to turn features on and off in game. There should be a small symbol on the outside of your mini map that will let you click to open it and give you access to all your settings and also advanced controls for your world map as well.

QUEST HELPER -

Has three major features:

1) QUEST MAP LOCATION ICONS:

A)Map directionals show you detailed information on where you need to go to get the BOSS or drop items for a quest which are represented by colored scary faces, and small colored cubes, or a strange circle with a crown on it.

FACES- Bosses or mini bosses that need to be killed

CUBES- Item quests, where you have to collect a gazillion drop items

CROWN CIRCLE- A long chain quest that leads into different level encounters, and vital to your game play and the time lines etc in the game world for what can be "UNLOCKED"

B) Question marks of several colors. They are two colors, Yellow (not available to turn in yet) and Blue (completed)

If you point your cursor over any of the above on the main map or the mini map, it will tell you what it is, and in the bottom right are two sets of numbers. The top one is how much of the quest is completed, and the second number is how long you have been on the quest.

On the map there will be black dotted lines running from one mission and quest to another, this is trying to calculate the most efficient method of knocking out tons of quests in little amount of time lost traveling. Which brings us to the next segment of the QUEST HELPER~

2) COMPLETION TRACKER

You will have a list of quests appear on the screen in text. They have the names of quests and under them it tells you what you need to complete them and how many more items you need to finish it off. They are color coded by difficulty:

GREY: Little Xp and low level to you . DIFFICULTY: 0 - BORED

GREEN: You will get moderate XP from these. DIFFICULTY: 4 - LAUGHTER

YELLOW: Higher XP and better rewards DIFFICULTY: 6 - WOUNDED

RED: Incredible Xp and rewards, dangerous. DIFFICULTY:10+ DEATH

Now besides this, you can move it around. To the top right hand corner of the text you will see a tiny grey box, click and hold and you cn drag it to wherever you want. Mine is located just below the mini map and just above my damage report text. You can also right click this I believe and LOCK this in place as well. If not you have to click that really tiny grey box to move it and I don't generally have too much problem with it.

You can right click on a quest in the list and it will AUTO open your QUESTS window. Right click again and it will close. Awesome tool!

Now you can control whats in the window. How did it select whats in there already by default? You ask? Well those are the quests that are closest to you and whats the most efficient to complete in your general area. But we can also CONTROL this!

Open your quest menu, and find the quests you WANT to do, and HOLD down the SHIFT key and click on the quest. It will now have a CHECK mark next to it. And it will now be at the top of your Quest text as well. You can right click and even set a PRIORITY on it, various levels - High to Low. Excellent, you now know how to use that, but this tool isn't done yet.

3) DIRECTIONAL FINDER-

With this fun addition to the Quest tracker you get a directional arrow that not only point directions toward you primary (closest) quest target - (including your corpse when dead), but it changes color from hot to cold to dead on and gives you a reading in yards to your target.

As with the others, you can click and drag this by grabbing in a hold and drag fashion right above the directional arrow, and LOCK it into place with a right click menu! Another awesome tool!

BONUS PARTY SHARING:

If your friend also has QUEST helper installed, when you party in group with them, you can see all their quests on your tracking map too. And can easily see how close you are and if you have similar quests to run! Great to share the burden huh?

AUCTIONATOR - (And Friends)

Take your 10 silver item and make GOLD! I did with Auctionator! I took making barely 5-8 gold a day into making minimum of 50 gold a day with this tool. I only use the basics of its potential and I'll add more as I learn - but here's the main poop on this fun tool!

SELLING:

Doesn't matter if they are materials or chunks of armor or scrolls! Open the AH and click on the Auctionator button. Then simply click and drag your item into the sales box and you'll see the latest going prices on everything! And you can set in the settings on how much to underbid people, you can see the prices of live auctions and underbid them or even see someone has underbid the standard prices and then click buy - find it and buy the under priced items, collect them from the mail and come back and post them the correct amount and make a profit.

If you add BEAN COUNTER: You can at anytime hover your mouse over and item and see the latest sales and trades on it, what skills and professions use the item. What kind of MATS you'll get out of it with disenchants etc! Awesome!

BUYING:

If your looking for cheap materials, simply take one of them and place them in the AUCTIONATOR sale window and pull up what everyone is selling for. Then click on the BID option and find the cheap ones and buy em out. You can search for cheap items this way and re post them or whatever you wish! Have fun and happy profits to us all!

Dark Raven is our spy group in the Alliance... stay tuned for a member list and all the juiciest details on our allied Dwarf to the Horde causing the "other side" nightmares in PVP and spying on their cities.. To become part of the Dark Raven, you MUST be a DWARF on Velen server, and report the name to me here in notes, or in GAME.

THE OBJECTIVE:

To steal the Alliance flag and interfere with thier operations to benefit the HORDE opposing team which would be orginized into units run by our sister GUILD the DARK SHROUD.

Our Alliance Dwarf Guild "Dark Raven" would disrupt the Alliance operation in the PVP zone, so our comrade Horde "Dark Shroud" members can gain the honor and disgrace the Alliance!

Spying on Raid areas and enemy cities to the Horde, and have the information sent back to RAID teams before assaults take place. This will disrupt them and once they arrive to defend the city, it will be in flames, with noone in sight.

Our dwarves would have access to all alliance territories and report the finding in the protector cities before preforming raids and invasions to prevent enemy resistance and form ambushes on alliance PVP groups.

What is the sacred order of the "Dark Raven?"

Well we have our own society, we are watching the alliance. The Order of the Dark Raven was formed to watch guard the Guild members and to ensure they are following the Guild Laws, in the Runescape game originally and were under the command of Darken itself (see H.A.M. for more info). http://svhg.blogspot.com/ (information on orgigins from Runescapes the "Severed hands Guild.) But now the Dark Raven have a diffrent game and seperate purpose, to spy on the alliance and create as much mayhem and disorder for them as humanly (pun intended) possible.

The number of members involved with the Dark Raven are published here, and they will plainly have their guild tabards on and involved in any ongoig project.
All that participate in this organization are highly respected by Me and the command structure. They hide in the shadows or stand in the open, they are Guild ranked and some are not, they are everywhere and nowhere... they are the secret sevice or the CIA of the Dark Shroud that watch alliance movements and check for spies.

HOW CAN I BECOME ONE?
Well create a Dwarf on the Alliance side and then report to Nabolshia himself in whisper the characters name. He will then log into his Dwarf and add you to the Guild. LOYALISTS to the Dark Shroud may also have characters that are in the Dark Raven, as this is a Guild that our allied forces can team and become one to make the alliance suffer even more by disturbing their plans and revealing their tactics and movements.

HOW MANY ARE THERE?
The number is unknown and always will be, assume all guild members you talk to could be a potential member of the Dark Raven, some of our spies are not documented so they can spy on higher level guilds that run raids on our cities.

DO THEY HAVE MEETINGS?
A system is devised so that they can meet and not reveal their true identity. They do this by creating a new character in the game they use only for this purpose and for spying, and when in that role they do not reveal who their other real "MAIN" character is at any time. They are simply a face and a voice.. However Nabolshia knows who they really are.

WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF BEING ONE?
You will play a major part in giving information during raids on alliance cities and helping in large groups to turn the tables on alliance in the battle grounds and the like. You will be one of many that help the Dark Shroud to be a name that rings throughout the world of Velen.

WHO KNOWS I'M A MEMBER OF DARK RAVEN?
No one but Nabolshia and when the Dark Raven has meetings there is never any mention of your real name or your "MAIN CHARACTERS NAME" or you will get removed from the Group for breaking your code of silence. The Dark Ravens success is based in being anonymous as then no bias toward another player can be applied to the movements in the alliance world.

Ok Hello everyone!
Consider this a book of the LAW. This is to simplify some of the features that we have access to in the GUILD and make this a smooth and fun playing experience.

WHO WE ARE and what we are about:
We are a HELPER guild first and foremost. helping one another leveling and on information. Letting one another know you are there to assist if they need it. And helping people learn the ins and outs of the game. It is the responsibility of Officers to keep the Guild channels clean, meaning keeping the language to a dull roar on profanity and the like. Swearing is ok, talking in detail about various topics that are distasteful is not.

Secondly we are aiming for the End Game. Meaning the defeat of the entire game itself. There is no hurry and if you are around long enough you will realize we have many alternate characters, and spend alot of our time helping as well as power leveling. Do not put others down for their level, we all do things at our own pace. But know that leveling will get you into higher level runs and raiding and the like which is a much more fast paced game then just questing.

Third we are Defenders of the Horde! We defend horde cities from attack and do so with the help of other guilds as well. If you would like to be ranked into the Defenders rank of WARLORD, know that you must hit level 70 and know that the Warlord rank has limited functions over the guild itself. On top of this they are sworn protectors of the Horde and must answer the call to defend when they are available and it is needed. Example they can recruit but can not rank people, this is the way of their power- they are Defenders not bureaucrats.

RANKING BASICS:
Almost anyone that can recruit people can also make a note in the Public note section of the Guild name listing on the members page. Please put in there information on who recruited them and after I update this information into the Officer notes you can put what that characters skills are mainly, no one has access to the officers notes except me so that I can tag the account with "DO NOT DEMOTE" if they have talked to me about being away. If their Officer note says this do not demote them for the 1 month not logged in penalty.

A good example would be Mining/ herbalism - if thats what they do. If you only have access to public note you'd write (Your game name) recruited (their name). This will keep the confusion down on who is who and who can do what.

A rank increase is aloted when a player hits level 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 respectively or for acts of loyalty to the Guild, helping others and doing good deeds such as getting players materials (MATS) they need etc. Other rankings are done by behavior and are awarded by an officer noting a players ability to be a good leader and helper to the GUILD. Alternate characters should join the Sister Guild - the Severed Hand until they reach level 50, at which point they can enter the Dark shroud. If it is a persons main character or they are new to the guild and a FRIEND of an active member, they can be added to Dark Shroud, people we do not know personally HAVE to start in the starter Guild, the Severed Hand.

Below are the powers of the Officers and Ranks:
The Officer channel should be used by officers in the time of meetings and the like, discouraging the orders of a fellow officer is not conductive to our command structure and it is frowned upon. You talk on the officer channel by typing "/o" before the words and only other officers can see this. Officer Chat can be seen by the rank of Comanda and upward.

ACTUAL RANKINGS: (Basically 1 rank per 10 levels)

Watch what you say in the Guild Chat, people in the guild have the power to demote you and also report your behavior to me. In doing so there will be an investigation. During this you can be demoted to Court Marshal until its figured out what happened. Do not rank people out of Court Marshal, this is my job and mine alone - if you have not logged in for more than 30 days you can also be court marshaled and this can be changed, simply explain this to me and I will rank you back up. Below under Demerits you will see reasons you can be demoted.

RANKS by Order:

Recruit: Is entry level, from level 1 - 9
You use your time leveling, running quests and inviting others you run with your level to the guild, be sure to report new recruits to a higher level officer so they can note the new players account as needed.

This is a place you do not want to be if you are a higher level. You get demoted back to here if you have not logged time on your character in over a Month. Once in this status you loose all achieved levels and powers. You can be ranked back up by requesting it from an officer. You will be ranked by level only. If you know you are going to be away from the guild for awhile, let the Founder know on in game mail - mail it to Nabolshia, and explain that you'll be absent, and he can flag your account so it does not loose ranks while you are gone.

Underling: Is a Corporal, this is for those that have hit level 10 - 19
You are now a player the lower levels are looking up to for help. Help with runs and instances when you can. You could get an early promotion if you are noticed by an Officer doing duties above and beyond what is expected of you. At 30 you will get your riding mount and a promotion is not far behind.

Riven: Are Sergeants level 20-29
You oversee the lower levels and have the power to rank them. It is the start of having true ranking powers and this is the start. Know the rules for players under your level. Language and them playing in teams and the like. You are the first watcher of levels below you and this is a good place to learn your powers. You have the power to promote others up to the rank just below you when they hit the required levels.

Sithin: Are Leutenant Level 30-39

Scourge: Are Captains level 40-49

Minion: This is a Hero Rank for levels 50-70 -

Warlord: Are Generals, which are Death Knights Level 55+ all others at Level 70

High Councilor: Those in the Core of the Guilds Foundation can be of various levels, however, for a player to achieve this status they must reach level 80 within the Guild for a minimum of 10 levels made while a member. This is the highest rank there is and no one has the amount of power and responsibility of this rank other than the Founder. It is your JOB to monitor and police the guild chat, help organize runs for all levels in need, rank and demote according to the guild rules.

Masters: These are the chosen few with specialized skills and knowledge that they can share with those that need the information. They are the most revered in the Guild as they have worked long and hard to MASTER certain professions and skills after they achieved maximum level in game. They spend most of their time running high level runs to attain gear to better the end game. They PVP, they are ones to look toward for answers, and if they don't have them, they know where to go to get em. Masters are exactly that, overachievers.

Daubler: The guild merchant rank can only be assigned by the Founder, and is only awarded to players on an alternate character that have a ranking Guild player at the rank of High councilor. It is their job to keep the guild bank clean and ship materials to those that need or request them.

DEMERITS:
This is applied when a member of the Guild is out of control either through language or behavior. Some of the conditions would be as follows but is not limited to:

1) Disrespect of other players, in or out of Guild chat
2) Abandoning Party without notification (does not include DC from internet)
3) Cheating, stealing, using Guild bank items for personal gains. (i.e. Disenchanting items without permission from the Overlord of the Guild (Me)
4) Excessive disruptiveness after being warned~
5) Talking about real life Race, religion or polotics in guild chat, people have diffrent veiws and they don't need to be discussed in my Guild. As far as real life goes I think everyone sucks, so don't talk about it in guild. (BTW I don't really think that but hey, who cares.)
6) Misrepresenting our Guild to others, in or out of the Guild.

Again this is a basic structure, Ranks can be increased through a 3 Officer vote to increase rank, which is Comanda or above, or you can be Ranked on merit to the GUILD by the Overseer.

When you have leveled up don't hesitate to tell an Officer and they can rank you up another level as required. Don't hesitate to talk with officers they are there to HELP you in any way they can. And know that if they are in the middle of something, they will get to you as soon as they can. We can not expect a player to stop an INSTANCE to come and save our hide.

Things to do-
Help others as much as possible, team and group on instance runs and quests in groups as much as you can. The idea is to level evenly with your comrades, don't hesitate to invite outsiders into the guild, be sure they seem to be rounded and helpful before doing so please.

Deposit green items into the bank and money on occasion would be nice.

Use the free GUILD tabard, get one in the bank and take from the highest bank you can access.

Craft trading, don't hesitate to trade craft goods etc between other members of the GUILD and share your skills with others as much as possible. It is expected for a crafted item you personally want, you should supply the MATS for it (materials)

Things not to do-
Fuss about ranks, or other silly things in relation to the game and the guild. Do not take more than what you are going to use in the bank.

Do not take items out of the Bank to drain the powers from them for your enchanting! Ask people for items and perhaps we can work something out, we are willing to help and anchanter and we don't have one at this time.

Do not rank people past the rank of SEER, without a 3 officer vote, or an appeal to the Overlord, violation of this can cause you to become demoted.

Things to Expect-
We should all be helpful and supportive of one another! We can help you get your first mount at lvl 30 as long as you are donating green items to the bank and helping generate income to the GUILD, if we have the money we will help you.

Expect that we will help you with getting your FIRST mount if the funds are available, be sure you are contributing as much as possible to the GUILD for this to be offered. If the GUILD does not have the money then you can ask others to see if they are wiling to loan you the money and you can work out arrangements with them. I take green items and sell them for the diffrence.

Things not to Expect-
Don't expect help ALL the time. It is good leveling to solo a lot of stuff, but if there is someone your basic level on don't hesitate to ask if they want to team quest.

The meaning of OFFICER -
Helper and Support! When at all possible all officers should rotate assistance to the lower levels, this means helping on instance runs and the like, or saving them when they have gotten into an area they can't get out of. All in the name of duty and honor.

The Reasoning behind the madness -
We want to have fun and help one another in doing that. Create a strong sense of GUILD community which is lacking in the WoW enviroment unfortunatly, live long play and kill hard and mostly have alot of fun with good people.

Guild Banking

The Guild Bank is built in three tiers at the moment:
When getting a tabard take from the highest bank you can access.

Common Bank Now know as the low level bank up to lvl 20-
This bank is for all levels, and all the things throw into this bank is for anyone in the GUILD to use. Do not feel obligated to donate because you took items- don't concern yourself about it. All items in here should be:

Common lvl items (Greens)
Low lvl Mats (Materials= cooking meats/cloth)
Foods under 800 hps
Drinks under 600 Mps

All levels are encouraged to keep the bank organized as possible. If the bank gets crowded, officers will clean the bank out and liquidate the items that have sat unused and deposit the proceeds into the GUILD coffers. Do NOT use the Guild bank as storage, whatever is placed in here is/will be used taken and or sold by others that need it.

All members are also encouraged to deposit items into this bank that they think someone else may find useful. Use your insight when possible and be sure to follow the bank TAB rules listed here to keep our assets safe. The BANK access security is not in place to make you limited, it is to make a scammer limited and cause them to leave us alone. This has already worked.

Tabards are also in this section, if they have run out inform an officer and they can transfer some down from the stockpile in the officers or elite BANK for you. Don't be afraid to ask- we are here to help one another.

Officers Bank- now known as the Midranged bank holding items up to lvl 40
Accessed by officers only, and this bank should contain ALL BINDING items. Greens on up. Stockpiles of Tabards are kept here and also bags and the like. Gems and stones of value are kept here. All items in this bank can be used by ANY member of the GUILD to a certain rank, if you can see the item in the bank you can take it- if you can't take it and you want it, again let an officer know and they will gladly get it out for you. (The best method for the officer to do this; is to simply transfer the item into the common bank and they can grab the item wherever they are and the officer does not get a daily item removal penalty.) Again this is set up like this not to limit you, but to prevent potential scammers moving through our ranks. Don't ask for an item just to drain its enchantments, or to sell it. If you really need something that bad talk to one of us and we will see what we can do for you.

Elite Bank-now known as the high level bank holding items for lvl 41+
Same rules apply to this bank. If you can see it and want an item and can't get it - JUST ASK. We are not horde of the GUILD - we are the HORDE and want you to be the same. This bank should have higher ranking items, things the standard user cant even put on them. Backup storage's again on Tabards and other equipment as well. If it doesn't fit in the Officer bank - then it comes into this one. And this also serves as a third tier backup on other common items - bags and Tabards etc.

There is also a Merchant rank now that has only special unlimited bank access, this rank is set one rank above the highest ranking officer as to prevent someone from accessing everything in the case their account gets hacked. This rank is only for special persons that have been assigned to clean the guild bank or do another bank function. It is temporary and I will rank you back to normal once done.

BANK TAB INFO:
At the bottom of each bank tab is an information button, you can click on this and read up on what other members need or want. You can also tell a Guild Master and they can add your information to that for you as well.

Common Bank - Common GREEN items and stuff for up to lvl 20

Officers Bank - Common GREEN items and stuff for up to level 40

Elite Bank - Common GREENS and Blues and other higher ranking stuff until we can afford another bank slot. This is lvl 41 and up~

KEEP THE BANK ORGINIZED PLEASE! We need to come up with 1000 gold for another bank slot! ALL TABARDS will be in access on each bank level to some degree, Officers should try to stay up on if the TABARDS are running low in the Common bank and replenish them from the others when needed. Higher ranked new members should take a TABARD from the highest bank that they can to save the common bank ones for beginners.

Mounts

MOUNTS, Flying and riding...

When you get more into the game you will find that at Level 30 you get your first riding mount, and this will be the mount permitted for your race. I am listing here some basic information to assist new players into better figuring out the what when and wheres.

We are the Dark Shroud, Defenders of the Horde (DOH). In this we are of the races in the Epic battles against the Alliance and their territories. All information here is for getting the first levels of your riding experience by Race on the Horde side.

UNDEAD:
The undead trainer for riding is just outside of Under City (UC) in the village of Tristfal, at the stables across from the Inn. You get your standard training here at 30, and then your Epic at 60, both mounts are available for purchase here.

BLOOD ELF:
The trainer for the Elf is just south and to the East of Silvermoon's front gate. Go out the front and hang a left, you will see a small tower there where you will find the trainer and a row of mounts to choose from. You get your standard training here at 30, and then your Epic at 60, both mounts are available for purchase here.

ORC:
The trainer for the Orcs is into the city, and go past the bank and hang a right into the seedy sector of the area. Once in this zone you will find an entrance to the back end of the city, heading toward the Blacksmiths and Engineering area. There is a pond here for fishing as well. The central road heading deeper in will bring you to the Dog pens.You get your standard training here at 30, and then your Epic at 60, both mounts are available for purchase here.

TROLL:
The Troll trainer is just East of the Orc starting zone, south on the road from Ogrimarr near the ocean. If you have played this race or Orc you will remember a small Troll village and a ton of island quests, this is the zone. The trainer is just south of the village standing there with his selection of mounts. You get your standard training here at 30, and then your Epic at 60, both mounts are available for purchase here.

TAURREN:
Just south of thunder bluff the Taurren capital city in the cliffs and crags, is a small starter village partially walled in from the outside world. Cross the bridge and head into the village and you will find a central training area. In here is the mounts you seek. You get your standard training here at 30, and then your Epic at 60, both mounts are available for purchase here.

MOUNT BONUSES:
In the Auction House (AH) you can find a number of devices to boost your movement rates on your mounts. A number of them have level limits, however any added attachments to your gear or otherwise apply to all your mounts while riding. Some examples are Mithril Spurs, or there are also enchantments, and there is the rare and expensive riding crop that's only good until level 70. You can find a number of ways to increase your riding through others that may even make items to gain you these bonuses.

FLYING MOUNTS:
Ok, there is something to be cleared up here. When you hit your levels you can get a flying mount (You need to have Burning Crusade) that is good only in Outland. You need this starter Mount training in order to get the Epic flying skill later for in Northrend, and later your faster Epic. Engineers and Tailors can build special ground and or flying mounts.

RUN MASTERS

I know the image above shows some stinking humans and elves kickin a dragons butt, but in this set of runs things aren't what they seem. You will be tranformed into a Human and taken back in time to when Thrall's father first encountered humans and was captured. It is up to us to set him free and when he breaks loose, it is a steady run with good Mob patrols Lvl 66-68 Elites.

We give him escort through wave after wave of attacks and patrols to a Dragon slaying grand finale~ Join today by sending an ingame mail to Nabolshia. If there is more than one group of 5 then we will schedule multiple runs through the "Caverns of Time."

Bonuses include good xp for Lvl 66-72 , quest chain to completion (Which means theres another instance after this one, in a chain.) Chain quest turn in XP. Access to the Riding Crop pattern for leatherworking. And a downhome good old time full of Twink drop items and the like - so not a bad item loot run either. Come along for the fun.

RUN MASTERS OF BATTLE OF OLD HILSBRAD - ESCAPE FROM DRUNHOLDE

Here is the group, Nabolshia Undead Ice Mage Lvl 67, Bloodvalor Tauren Druid Lvl 66, Drexar Orc Hunter Lvl 66, Tili Blood Elf Paladin Lvl 74, and Minnie Blood elf Death knight Lvl 72... We had some quest snags on the first run through and had to run it a second time. However the run went well both times and we finished it up in about 40 minutes.

We then went into the Lvl 68-70 Black Morrass and got our skulls handed to us. We are forming another group to head into there again as it was a healthy challenge.

BLACK MORASS RUNMASTERS ~

So we returned to Black Morass and conquered! The bosses spawned from the portals and we smashed them faster than they could open a new one. We did not even use one Beacon in the entire run. We slaughtered the place. And as you can see at the end we opened the Dark Portal, and the you can see the Orc guardsman barring the path to the entrance. Awsome run!

In January of 2007, I had started looking for an MMO with Questing and a GRIND where I wasn't going to go broke paying for service. And in this I found Runescape....

RUNESCAPE: January 2007, The Severed Hands Guild (SVHG)

I started the game very displaced as I had never played an MMO before, having been a strategy war gamer (Stronghold, Medieval Total War, Command and conquer, etc) and the entire aspect didn't seem to mesh very easily.

Everywhere I turned there were higher level players being mean and luring unsuspecting people to their deaths and robbing them in PVP and the like. At level 20 I exclaimed to a few Mentors that I was going to put an end to this and that I was going to create a Guild to protect the weak and nurture them into valuable members of our community. They laughed.

By level 30 my Guild the SVHG was over 100 strong. The concept that one small group could change the face of a world came true and more and more people joined. Our numbers grew and I used the website to promote our activities and rules of engagement. Until I became a popular name and a target to game crashing players who couldn't play fair with others. Through this my talk about the website got me muted in 2008, and I then left the Guild in my commanders hands, not to return except to inform them of my new medium of justice. The SVHG is now over 600 strong, and needs to use 6-7 leaders Guild chats to orginize events and gather for meetings in Varrock Castle. Both paid runescape members and Free accounts, all levels and classes working together as one. Long live the SVHG!

ENTROPIA UNIVERSE: March 2008, The Svhg Corporation, Planet Calypso

Around tax time and searching several games for a nice environment to move to including Age of Rohan Blood feud, and Mabinogi which affiliate Blogs can be found on related links on any of my Blog pages, I encountered Entropia....

The Entropian Universe provided the SVHG a new platform where a real money economy could be formed and made. The project continues with the same basis of the SVHG of being a helper society, but in the far distant future. Plans are on the table to Build the SVHG CORP city of "Prime" and the plans of its construction can not be released at this time for fear of copyright, the SVHG CORP continues its helper mentality on the planet Calypso, with a society of over 70 members to date. Projects have been postponed and visitors have decreased during this down time, but the plans are still in the making and will require a $200,000 USD investment.

Now enter all my experience from organizing and maintaining these other society's and projects, and I bring to the table the Dark Shroud and the Alliances Dark Raven. The future holds many things, and one is the total control of the lands of Azeroth. The Dark Shroud is made in the same image of the original SVHG, and plans to unite other Guilds with our own through the Defenders of the Horde (DOH) program, leaves the realm open to new changes, as the Dark Shrouds name grows and echoes across many servers and worlds with our policy.

WOWMATRIX

Welcome to WOW MATRIX!
This is a new tool that I have started using! And it is awsome! As you will realize it takes the heavey thought of keeping your AddOns up to date and having to find each and everyone to keep them running properly.

The Interface is a simple dowload found at http://www.wowmatrix.com/ and once downloaded and installed will take the guess work and the hunting from your AddOns and allow you the freedom to spend more time in the game having fun.

This tool features several important features. One is an Automatic update tool that searches all your AddOns and gives you the option to delete them or update them with the press of a button.

Secondly there is a great search tool tab, where you can search for the AddOn of your dreams and simply select it and WOWMATRIX installs it automatically. Beautiful. Below is a simple example of the interface and it places a neat little icon for it on your desktop as well.

Again install it from the Link listed on the side menu on our Guild page or use the link listed above. Your AddOns are out of date - how do i fix that ? Those problems are over.

Before you start installing programs with your WowMatrix be sure to go into your Wow program folder and manually remove the old junk you had installed. This would be everything that does not say Blizzard on it. Where is this folder? Well on most machines its in c:/all programs/worldofwarcraft/interface.AddOns ... Delete all the files in here except the ones labeled "Blizzard" and then you can freely install all your favorites using the new WOWMATRIX utility from your desktop! YEA-HA!

Ranks and Titles

New ranks and titles have been applied to the guild. Anyone not noting the public note on new recruits is putting them in risk of being demoted or kicked from the guild. If you can invite to the guild you can note their account as to who they are and who recruited them. Failure to do so could result in them being kicked from the guild and you demoted for not doing your duty as an officer. All alt toons have been kicked from the main guild, they should join our Sister guild for low levels The Severed hand. Once you have reached level 50 you will be able to join the Dark Shroud once again, with the applied rank according to your level. New players can add low levels to the Shroud, we are trying to simply clean out all the Alts from our ranks.

Run Masters Update: Black Morass
Let it be known that the Run Masters did finish out the BOH and Black Morass runs. The Black Morass results and image have been added to the Run Masters Section. Look for more events to come, such as Sundays 2pm (game time) run of Shattered halls.

Merchant Laws
Blood valor lays out the rules for the new banking system for those of the High Councilor rank. You can create a Merchant for the Guild and help in keeping our bank clean and assist in generating money for new players mounts, more bank tabs and to keep us stocked in much needed items. Tab #3 is now a depository for Mats and such, if you see something you need - contact a Merchant rank or a High Councilor to grab it out for you. These items are there for you! Deposit for the others, you may have something you don't want or need, but someone else does. Use the new system to make us even greater of a helper Guild than we were before.

This is a "Black List" of all those players and Guilds that have acted out against us in any way. It is sad that on our own side of the struggle with the alliance we have enemies among us.

Merchant Laws
This is laying out the foundation for perminent Merchant Ranked players in the Guild that will have access to a DROP in only Bank tab where we can stockpile Matts and the like. The Merchants will have no political power of ranks and status, but will be the maintenance persons for Matt items and bank inventory. Stay tuned for more!

OK the new updated information on the new rank titles and some added rules for ranking and how this works has been added to the information page. On here you'll get info on how the DK serve the Shroud and that they have to hit 80 to be a High Councilor, and more on the new ranking and descriptions on what they actually are in military terms. Very helpful info.

Say goodbye to searching for updates and having to fix problems the old fashioned way. Be sure before you decide to run the program you remove all your old AddOns from your folder. NEW POLL(This is not a live link) Poll is to the right~
Who should be responsible for the logging of new recruits information into the Guild? Should it be in the hands of those that recruited them? Or someone elses responsibility? As of now if you are not a rank that can enter an officer note, you are supposed to note in the public note that you recruited someone and where. Example: Nabolshia recruited in Ogrimarr, this would go into the public note, then an officer doing maintenance would delete this and enter the information into the Officer note, and then type "to be announced" in the public note- waiting for the person to announce to an officer their proffesions.

If an officer recruits they are supposed to do this same process but enter the information into the Officer note area. As of right now the only ones to Promote a rank is the Dark Minion Lvl 30+ or the Guild Masters (GMs). Anyone that is 30 days or more without logging in gets demoted to Court Marshal until they log in again. At which point they can be ranked according to their level and not merit as their Honor is gone with the GUILD. Take the Poll to the right for more information on what others are thinking. Or leave a comment at the bottom in comments.

Dark Raven Update
The Dark Raven is comprised of our guild and that of our LOYALISTS and Guild Union, DEFENDERS of the HORDE (DOH)- these are people that have joined in alliance to the Dark Shroud and assist us in raids and instance runs independently (loyalists) or as a group such as an entire Guild - DOH. See more posted below on this.
The purpose is to disrupt the movements and interference with our raids on alliance cities and to later turn the tables on the enemy in Battle Grounds (BG) and in Raids themselves.

LOYALISTS:
These are those few that stay in their present guild and come Solo to help our people in raids and in the instance runs we so love. They are known as excellent players and are to be respected. Add them and don't hesitate to invite them on a run or raid, just remember to be polite.

DEFENDERS of the HORDE (DOH):
Entire Guilds have sworn to protect and serve by our side in our group called Defenders of the Horde. More information on this as it is available. Click the link above for detailed information to date and look there for further developements. These groups work with us hand in hand on raids and BG controled runs. More to come.

Ranks Update:
Ranks have changed for a number of reasons, and there have been some important changes, also the rules of ranking will be in this link as well. Be on your toes and watch what you are saying in the guild chat to other people, some of them have the power to demote you! There is a fine line between joking and tryin to push buttons, avoid this and don't take it seriously or don't get involved. Any conversation you feel is out of control let me know in a letter and the names involved and I will take care of the situation.

GUILD Banking:
Updates posted to known bank changes, and be sure to read notes in the tabs options on the bank to simply ship materials directly to those that need it instead of setting them in the bank for someone to grab them. Please know the use of the bank tabs and what lvl the items are that you are placing in there to help with bank maintenance. Also more information on Merchant ranks in both the Ranks update link and in the bank link.

DKP HONOR SYSTEM
Earn DK points for running lower levels through areas that you don't get XP in or when running in a BALANCED level team. ALL 20 - 30, 0r All 30 - 40 etc... in a ten level ranged party.

BECOME REGISTERED FOR DKP (Level 30 + and Officers Only!) - REGISTER! DKP has failed and the Guild overall is not interested in setting it up at this time, this could be on the plate in the future once we apply more in the terms of the LOYALISTS.

Get your Add on information here on installation and usage on the Top ones used by our GUILD to better their game. Money and items sales and purchasing and Quest tracking and learning to use your best leveling tools. For Officers see DKP Honor System, or get the Add On here - DKP

ENEMIES TO THE SHROUD

THOSE EXILED AND PUNISHED WILL PARRISH ALONE

Below is going to be two lists for Officers to check when running Raids and the like, as our numbers grow we will be able to refuse helping raids if "bad" players are in the group and force them out of the Raid if they want to keep us. This will "punish" the bad players and may just get them to change their evil ways. The Dark Shroud will prevail, and it is through this we can devise a method to track undesirables and avoid repeating "Run" failures by avoiding and Exiling these people. You can add names to the bottom in comments. Please give reasons for the addition.

Example: Evilboy: He is in stable, leaves groups without notice and doesn't follow the party.
Example Guild: Synlis: They do not help lower levels and are known to discriminate.

Another thing here is in our own PUG, (pick up groups) this may help us avoid a bad run as we can check the list for bad players even before the run begins and we learn the Hard way.

Merchant of the Dark Shroud

By now, most of you know about the addition of the merchant rank to the guild… and if you didn’t know already then here’s a news update. Guild merchants’ main job is to help keep the guild bank organized and clean of all junk items. Any non-junk item like a useful piece of armor will be kept in the bank until someone needs it.

And please don’t feel like you are mooching off the guild by taking items from the bank, we put those items in there because we WANT you guys to take the items you need! (And by “need” I mean items you can actually use!)

How to Merchant for the Guild

Organize tabs in an easy-to-navigate fashion.
Remove unwanted items and “Junk” items.
Place the items in the Auction House for 12-24-48 Hours (Auctioneer Add-on helps)
Any money made from items that have sold is to be placed back into the guild bank.
Any items that have not sold can be vendered off and profits are to be placed into the bank.

Material items are a different story, any unwanted materials like Cloth or Ores can be deposited into Bank Tab #3, Note: Anyone can deposit mats into tab 3, but only high ranking officers and merchants can withdraw (at this time). So if you need mats from tab #3 please mail one of us with your request.

We need 1000 gold for Bank tab # 4 !

The High Coucil

~ The High Council ~

It is the act of the High council of the Dark Shroud to adhere to all guild rules and regulations. They are made up of those that are closest to the Founder and have served with Honor in defense of the Horde and in assisting in others questing to become great.

The main task of ranking players falls in their hands and they can set up events and meet with other allied groups to the Defenders of the Horde (DOH). See more about the DOH here at this link -> DOH . It is the High Councils job to also monitor the Guild for people violating the rules and do upkeep on the guild inventories when the Founder is away. All high Council members should be treated as if they themselves own the Guild and if they violate the code of honor and respect in which they earned, it should be reported directly to Nabolshia.

The High council seat is the most coveted seat in the Dark Shroud. You sit at the threshold of Guild power. It is you that talks directly with the Founder to work out new plans and ideas and to help bring them to life.

~ WARLORDS ~

The High Council Commands order over all sub ranks, mainly focusing their direct influence on the Warlord Generals that command the Armies of Dark Shroud. The Warlords are the standing army of the Shroud and are to be respected as those that have made great sacrifice in serving in our legions to DOH. DOH is the main vow of a Warlord and that is to defend the Horde cities alone or with allies to the best of their abilities. Warlords are made up of Death knights by default as they are instantly ranked to this upon joining the Guild and also any toon hitting level 70 and wanting to be a DOH Warlord General. They can only be ranked to this level by a High Council member, and their guild powers are more limited then their lesser ranked Commanders, as this keeps strangers with Death Knights from scamming the Guild.

Warlords can invite and Rank within the Guild, but should not promote others outside of the normal ranking process. This way they have the ability to invite those that may better serve our guild and helping us stomp out the alliance scum.

After Command ranks are earned the guild no longer pays for your repairs, as by this time you should be self sufficient enough to provide for your own needs. Donations are expected to the guild coffer by all ranks above Commander, of the sum equal to 5 gold per week to help cover costs on new recruit repairs. Officer ranks do have the ability to draw an amount of money from the guild daily, but are expected they will only use it if needed. This amount varies by rank.

~ Commanders and below ~

Commanders are the first of the Ranking and demotion ranks. They are a Mini Boss of the High Councilors! They monitor the actions and behaviors of those ranked below them and it is their job to check for rank changes that may be needed due to levels or achievements.

They can rank up to their own and can also Demote. They are the first to not be able to repair. At this stage they are considered Independent and able to fend for themselves. They can also request the guild to LOAN them money for their first mount if needed, or an assist on their epic mount, with the intention of paying the amounts back.

~ MERCHANTS ~

The Merchant rank is used for a banking toon. Very few people will be trusted with a banking toon that has no ranking powers at all but full access to the Guild bank and all its functions. You will have to have a Commander rank or High councilor rank to get a Bank toon, as these are ranks of earned trust to the Shroud. Those that are going to get involved in the future BANK TAB #4 need to let me know and sign up to have a merchant toon made and ranked.

Simply let me know, as I am the only one that can rank you into a Merchant. Do not make it a standard toon as in this rank you will have no standard rank powers at all. It only needs to be a low level used for banking and AH activities, trade and banking management. There will be an Ammendum of rules for the Merchants to follow that do not apply to standard ranked players.

Welcome to the Dark Shroud! After much struggle and determination we have finally got the GUILD together. It all came together quite quickly in fact. As some of us know the majority of the members of the GUILD are from the same workplace. Kind of funny, but it will make a stronger glue for us in the long run.

I (Nabolshia Dark Lotus had joined the Synlis Guild on the Velen server and was not having a very good time. For one no one talked to me from the guild I was placed in and rarely did I even see someone from the GUILD in my presence. I voiced my opinion and they explained to me that the majority of the game was for SOLO playing.

I then explained if that was the case then there are much more detailed non- MMO games that I could be playing if I didn't want to talk to people and be a working unit. They ignored me and I quit their GUILD. My co-worker apologized and then had me rejoin, with the promise that things would change. I explained to my Friend that their point was invalid as I could spend 8 hours in the game and have all various conversations and do runs with other people I would encounter on my journeys. The same treatment continued, so I quit them again.

I vowed to create two things with my guild, a helper society, and a solid team of leaders that would share the responsibility of helping lower levels on skills and quests.

This would be in a rotation method where no one person is then helping all the time and not getting the needed leveling they need themselves. This is an attempt to make this happen, and to also create other faction's of our Dark Shroud in the Alliance as spies and cutthroats.

Eventually the Dark Shroud will branch into PVP worlds where we then have this command structure down to an art so well- so then even those 40 year old WOW geeks and 12 year old stat tweaks won't even be able to see whats about to hit them.
